i love to take pictures!!! i'd say out of all the fun things i like to do, this is my favorite. when i was a kid i loved taking pictures but the wait for film processing from the local Walgreen's was 3-4 days, and waiting all that time gave me such high anxiety. Usually, after all that waiting, it was a let down. Keep in mind i didn't know what i was doin' and i had one of those 110 cameras.

after a while it got expensive and aggravating to go through that process, so i went to Polaroid. Polaroid was great, instant gratification, but again, expensive and difficult to get a non-blurry shot. i was one of those schmucks who shook the picture while waiting for it to develop which was a big mistake. so after all of that i just gave up. it seemed hopeless and ultimately, financially not worth it.

well, technology happened and brought the computer. then, the digital camera was just around the corner. i had a girlfriend who had a real nice Nikon point-and-shoot and she took really impressive pictures with it. she also was great at framing a picture which was something i'd never even considered, but that moment when i learned to frame a picture i was right back to being a little kid with my camera again. something clicked and i knew i wanted a camera, and being the spoiled brat that i am my parents bought me my first digital camera. it was a Kodak easy share which broke when i fell hiking in mathiessen state park.

now, i shoot with a digital Nikon slr. Taking pictures completely puts my mind at ease and in a zone that is indescribably amazing. well, if you've read this much i implore you to look at the images i have shot. enjoy my montography.
